Terms and Conditions

Please find here the terms and conditions of the Lenkerhof gourmet spa resort.

Individual Reservations

1. Scope
These general terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Hotel Lenkerhof AG (hereinafter referred to as Lenkerhof) in connection with individual guests and room reservations (from 1 to 9 persons or up to 5 rooms) to the guest. The contractual basis is the services agreed between the guest and Lenkerhof.

2. Services and prices
Unless otherwise agreed, prices are in Swiss francs per person and night, including the statutory VAT applicable at the time, tourist tax, free admission to the 7sources beauty & spa with indoor pool, outdoor pool, sauna park and fitness room, and non-alcoholic minibar. Euro prices are calculated at the current daily exchange rate.

3. Advance payment
Lenkerhof is entitled to request a reasonable advance payment at any time.

4. Payment terms
The bill, including all consumption, must be settled in cash, by debit card or credit card no later than on the day of departure.

5. Liability for damage
The guest is fully liable for damage caused by guests, their children or pets.

6. Liability of Lenkerhof
Lenkerhof is liable for loss of or damage to items brought in only in cases of intent and gross negligence by its employees. Where Lenkerhof is responsible to third parties, it is only liable if there is fault.

Lenkerhof's liability is expressly limited to the services of the hotel liability insurance. Any liability beyond this is expressly excluded.

Liability for valuables and cash exists only if these items are stored in the hotel safe (max. CHF. 1‘000.00) or handed in at reception against a receipt. Lenkerhof is not liable for damage arising as a result of force majeure.

Claims for liability lapse if the guest does not notify Lenkerhof immediately after becoming aware of the loss, destruction or damage, but at the latest when leaving the hotel.

Where the guest claims a parking space in the hotel garage or in the hotel car park, even for a fee, this does not constitute a safekeeping agreement. In the event of loss or damage to parked or manoeuvred motor vehicles and their contents on the hotel premises, Lenkerhof is not liable, insofar as the hotel is not responsible for intent or gross negligence.

Messages, post and goods sent to guests are handled with care. Lenkerhof undertakes delivery, storage and, if desired and for a fee, forwarding of the same. Claims for compensation for damage not based on gross negligence or intent are excluded.

7. Cancellation periods
This concerns the cancellation of your room reservation or shortening of your stay. To avoid inconvenience, we recommend taking out cancellation insurance. The following applies to room cancellations: cancellations must be made in writing, including the names of all affected guests. If you are unable to travel, you can cancel up to 7 days before arrival. For reservations over Christmas and New Year, 28 days apply, and 21 days for February. If a reservation is cancelled within the deadline, the booked arrangement will be charged at 100%. The same rule applies to late arrival, no-show or early departure.

8. Final provisions
The place of performance and payment is the registered office of Lenkerhof.

Event reservations

1. Scope
These general terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Hotel Lenkerhof AG (hereinafter referred to as Lenkerhof) in connection with conference, seminar, banquet and exhibition events as well as room reservations (from 10 persons or 5 rooms) to the organiser. The contractual basis is formed by the services agreed between the organiser and Lenkerhof.

The organiser’s general terms and conditions shall only apply if this has been agreed in writing in advance between Lenkerhof and the organiser.

Reserved event rooms are available to the organiser only for the time agreed in writing. Use beyond the agreed period requires prior approval from Lenkerhof Management.

2. Services and prices
Unless otherwise agreed, prices are quoted in Swiss francs per person, including the statutory VAT applicable at the time of the event.

Prices in Euro are calculated at the current exchange rate on the day. This also applies to services and expenses incurred by the hotel to third parties in connection with the event.

If the period between the final reservation and provision of the services exceeds 6 months, Lenkerhof is entitled to charge the prices currently valid at the time of the event.

3. Advance payment
After the signed contract has been returned, an initial advance payment (depending on the number of rooms booked and the type of event) of 30% must be made no later than 3 months before the start of the event. A refund of the advance payment made will only be issued if the event is cancelled in writing within the cancellation period defined in the quotation. After expiry of this period, there is no entitlement to a refund.

4. Payment terms
Invoice amounts are payable within 10 days of the invoice date and without deduction in Swiss francs. The organiser is in default if the invoice amount is not transferred within the stated payment period. After default in payment, Lenkerhof is entitled to charge the applicable statutory default interest of currently 5%. In this case, Lenkerhof reserves the right to provide evidence of higher damages. Credit cards are not accepted for settlement of the invoice on site.

5. Third-party services and reimbursement of expenses
Where the hotel procures technical equipment or other services from third parties for the organiser, it acts on behalf of and for the account of the organiser. The organiser undertakes to reimburse Lenkerhof for all expenses and outlays incurred by Lenkerhof in the proper execution of the order and to indemnify the hotel against liabilities incurred.

6. Withdrawal by Lenkerhof
If the organiser makes significant changes to essential parts of the contract in the period between conclusion of the contract and use of the service, so that the reserved premises can no longer be let economically according to commercial principles, Lenkerhof is entitled to withdraw from the contract.

If Lenkerhof has reasonable grounds to believe that the event threatens to jeopardise the smooth running of business, security or the reputation of the establishment, or in the event of misleading or false statements of material facts, it may cancel the event.

7. Technical equipment and connections
Where Lenkerhof, at the organiser’s request, procures technical and other equipment from third parties for the organiser, it does so in the name of, by authority of and for the account of the organiser. The organiser is liable for careful handling and proper return. It indemnifies Lenkerhof against all claims by third parties arising from the provision of such equipment.

8. Loss of or damage to items brought in
Exhibition items or other items brought in, including personal belongings, are stored in the event rooms or at Lenkerhof at the organiser’s risk. Lenkerhof accepts no liability for loss, destruction or damage.

The attachment of decorative materials or other objects must be agreed with Lenkerhof in advance in order to prevent damage to the walls. The organiser guarantees that, in particular, decorative materials comply with fire safety requirements.

9. Liability of the organiser for damage
The organiser is liable for damage caused by guests, employees or agents of the organiser. Lenkerhof may require the organiser to take out appropriate insurance.

10. Liability of Lenkerhof
In the event of loss of or damage to items brought in, Lenkerhof is liable only for intent and gross negligence on the part of its employees. Where Lenkerhof is liable for third parties, it is liable only where fault exists.

Lenkerhof’s liability is expressly limited to the benefits of the hotel liability insurance. Any liability beyond this is expressly excluded.

Liability for valuables and cash exists only if these items are kept in the hotel safe (max. CHF 1‘000.00) or handed in at Reception against a receipt. Lenkerhof is not liable for damage caused by force majeure.

Claims for liability lapse if the organiser does not notify Lenkerhof immediately upon becoming aware of the loss, destruction or damage.

Where the organiser is provided with a parking space in the hotel garage or on the hotel car park, even for a fee, this does not constitute a safekeeping contract. Lenkerhof is not liable for loss of or damage to parked or manoeuvred motor vehicles and their contents on the hotel premises, unless the hotel is responsible for intent or gross negligence.

Messages, post and goods consignments for the organiser and its guests are handled with care. Lenkerhof undertakes delivery, safekeeping and, upon request and for a fee, forwarding of the same. Claims for damages not based on gross negligence or intent are excluded.

11. Overtime and musical events
Musical entertainment may be chosen by the organiser if the Lenkerhof has been booked exclusively. Otherwise, the in-house music will be played. An extension of playing time may be requested and will be charged per hour.

12. Bringing food and drink
The organiser is generally not permitted to bring food and drink to events.

13. Cancellation deadlines
The organiser may terminate the order in writing, with the consequence that compensation of varying amounts remains payable depending on the timing of the termination. If the number of participants changes by more than 10%, Lenkerhof is entitled to recalculate the prices.
